Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Junior Bridge started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Chipping Sodbury United's Marc Cutts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lance Holdroyd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 5 minutes into the game, Gwyn Gold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jim Nicoll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nat Peyton in the 8th minute of play forced Fc Earls's goalkeeper Lance Holdroyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Gwyn Gold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Earls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Rob Hurren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chipping Sodbury United's Jim Nicoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Sparks in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Fc Earls's Gwyn Gold made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Nicoll was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rob Hurren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Nicoll having to interfere. In the 28th minute Gwyn Gold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Nicoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Nicoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn Gold, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The Fc Earls fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Fc Earls's Rob Hurren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gwyn Gold scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Nicoll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lance Holdroyd was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tommy Simpson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 42 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rob Hurren to strike the kick off in the second half. Jim Nicoll was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Rob Hurren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rob Hurren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. If Gwyn Gold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Marc Cutts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Lance Holdroyd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Chipping Sodbury United were awarded a corner. Eric Nevin went to the cornerflag to take it. Keanu Liddle charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keanu Liddle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chipping Sodbury United! Fc Earls's Lance Holdroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Bridge in the 85th minute of play. 2-8 became the score in the 86th minute when Gwyn Gold elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jim Nicoll was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Nicholas Sparks capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicholas Sparks really showed his touch with that goal: 2-9. Gwyn Gold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Rob Hurren notched a goal, 2-10, to the right of Chipping Sodbury United's Jim Nicoll. Jim Nicoll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Fc Earls left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chipping Sodbury United.
