Emsworth's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Frankie Collins 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Drew Edmunds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chelmsford City's Frankie Collins was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Aureliano Juvenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Frankie Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelmsford City's supporters rose to their feet, but Frankie Collins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kris Arrowsmith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chelmsford City's Alex Auckland got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Collins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Kris Arrowsmith made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frankie Collins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chelmsford City's Barry Beevers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Milner in the 52nd minute of play. Alex Auckland took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Arrowsmith. Kris Arrowsmith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 58 played minutes Emsworth got a freekick which was hit by Connor Letheren. Liam Milner scored 4-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barry Beevers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 67 in the game by Victor Hewitt from a close distance when the talented Barry Beevers managed to make a qualified save. Chelmsford City's players were relieved. Liam Milner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barry Beevers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelmsford City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Connor Letheren was slow to take the kick. During this time Emsworth's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frankie Collins in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kris Arrowsmith saved Emsworth from getting behind. Barry Beevers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Milner in the 76th minute of play. Kris Arrowsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Edmunds in the 78th minute of the match. Drew Edmunds took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Arrowsmith. Kris Arrowsmith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Freddie Fry's late challenge caught a Emsworth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddie Fry helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Chelmsford City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Emsworth:s goal. Barry Beevers went to the wrong direction when Connor Letheren was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Chelmsford City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
