Ted Winstanley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremy Peacock in the 13th minute of the match. Ted Winstanley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Robins in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Pelsall's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Peacock came free, but Ted Winstanley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC Pelsall were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Åkesson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Pelsall's Ted Winstanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Douglas in the 54th minute of play. Jeremy Peacock scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Winstanley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
