The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilfredo Patxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theo Groom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfredo Patxi in the 9th minute. East Ham United were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Holy Cross Mountains's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Quentin Bell took the corner. Roque Terron thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Guy Davis, a very annoying self made goal in the 11th minute which led to 0-1. Les Simpson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Theo Groom came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Holy Cross Mountains's 柯翔峰. But to his dismay, 柯翔峰 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Theo Groom had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Horea Decuseară from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Holy Cross Mountains were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after East Ham United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emanuel Stroescu took the corner. Wilfredo Patxi hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Horea Decuseară struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Theo Groom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holy Cross Mountains. Wilfredo Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Horea Decuseară dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Theo Groom, 3-1. Reynaldo Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Groom having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Harry Robson made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, East Ham United's Guy Davis threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Quentin Bell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 54th match minute, East Ham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Breckin to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Decuseară in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Groom saved East Ham United from getting behind. Harry Robson kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. East Ham United's Ritchie Branston quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roque Terron, made in the 59th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Horea Decuseară managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holy Cross Mountains's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Decuseară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Groom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilfredo Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Theo Groom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, East Ham United's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Decuseară came free, but Theo Groom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. East Ham United's Theo Groom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Mede in the 79th minute of play. Theo Groom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Decuseară in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Holy Cross Mountains booed when East Ham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Ackroyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Horea Decuseară's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Groom was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Holy Cross Mountains had won after a very even match.
