Jagiellonia United's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Faith was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garth Mead breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Weybridge's zone, Garry Duke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Mead came out of the goal and Garry Duke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garth Mead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Duke in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Garth Mead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garry Duke, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
