Jay Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Heslop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dom Whittaker hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Wanborough's Eric Heslop nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jay Harris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 28 played minutes Wanborough got a freekick which was hit by Alec Halloran. 30 minutes into the game, Sean Parslow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wanborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zyerpaus the free kick. A collision led to Wanborough getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sean Parslow hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wanborough's zone, Damon Gulliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Rathmell came out of the goal and Damon Gulliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blair Speight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joey Reading received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Richard Rathmell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Jay Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Heslop, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Sean Parslow kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Wanborough's Larry Gamble ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jay Harris. Jay Harris yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alec Halloran in the 80th minute of play. Blair Speight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Larry Gamble received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jay Harris came out and tried to block the shot, but Larry Gamble slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 84th minute. Zyerpaus's Jay Harris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Zyerpaus from getting a goal against them. Jay Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alec Halloran, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Joey Reading had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
