Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 6th minute of the match Rupert Ingram sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wally Holdcroft skillfully saved the ball. Gary Kyle hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Al Ansell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iain Armstrong was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wally Holdcroft was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Rupert Varley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rupert Varley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 28th minute Al Ansell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iain Armstrong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 31 minutes on the clock, Jonathan Sugden commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Wally Holdcroft went to the wrong direction when Rupert Ingram was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 39 played minutes Whitworth got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Osbon. Tyrone Maylett came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wally Holdcroft could save by the left post. Kyle Hargrave hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Rupert Varley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Holdcroft having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rupert Varley was the one to do the kick off. Wally Holdcroft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Varley in the 51st minute of play. Wally Holdcroft didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rupert Varley went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Rupert Ingram took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wally Holdcroft. Bouvine FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tyrone Maylett struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Wally Holdcroft didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitworth. Rupert Varley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Holdcroft having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Maylett in the 72nd minute of play forced Bouvine FC's goalkeeper Wally Holdcroft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Rupert Varley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Holdcroft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wally Holdcroft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Varley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Tyrone Maylett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Holdcroft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Michael Basham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bouvine FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whitworth the free kick. A collision led to Bouvine FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Wally Holdcroft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Bouvine FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Al Ansell hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Whitworth fully deserved thier win.
