Zackary Haper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute, Rupert Varley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Whitworth were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Denzil Marchant made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Denzil Marchant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitworth's Iain Armstrong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Denzil Marchant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain Armstrong having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denzil Marchant in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iain Armstrong saved Whitworth from getting behind. Iain Armstrong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denzil Marchant in the 68th minute of the match. The Whitworth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4.
