When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Billie Morse took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kevin Tonkin to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th match minute, Smallfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Ashby to maneuver through the defense. THFC Youth Academy's Kevin Tonkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save THFC Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Louis Ashby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Keith Winstanley fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THFC Youth Academy's protests and gave Keith Winstanley a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes THFC Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Keith Winstanley. Calvin Hardcastle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Calvin Hardcastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smallfield FC's Louis Ashby got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvin Hardcastle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Tonkin having to make a save. The Smallfield FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Smallfield FC's Billie Morse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Calvin Hardcastle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kevin Tonkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Louis Ashby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smallfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis Ashby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Tonkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Billie Morse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Kevin Tonkin made a huge save. Louis Ashby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Tonkin having to interfere.

The wind increased when Stuart Osbourn made the kick off in the second half. Keith Winstanley hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Kevin Tonkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Hardcastle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 56 minutes, Calvin Hardcastle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smallfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Hardcastle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mark Pilkington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Tonkin having to interfere. If Mark Pilkington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, THFC Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Pilkington came free, but Kevin Tonkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billie Morse took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Tonkin. Kevin Tonkin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of THFC Youth Academy booed when Smallfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Ashby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Blower hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Greg Groves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THFC Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smallfield FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, THFC Youth Academy's Greg Groves got a free kick in the 81st minute. Mark Pilkington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billie Morse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calvin Hardcastle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Tonkin having to interfere. Kevin Tonkin came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Smallfield FC's Mark Pilkington. But to his dismay, Mark Pilkington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 92nd minute Billie Morse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Tonkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Tonkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Louis Ashby's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. If Billie Morse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smallfield FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
