The supporters of Droylsden booed when Fc Malá Lula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seb Holdsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trey Carsley during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Droylsden getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Trey Carsley hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Intxixu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Piers Kerridge. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Radowit Prus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piers Kerridge having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Radowit Prus could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Piers Kerridge however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alastair Patterson in the 17th minute of play forced Fc Malá Lula's goalkeeper Kenny Hume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Alastair Patterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Hume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Piers Kerridge managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Fc Malá Lula's Radowit Prus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd minute, Luke Greenman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Fc Malá Lula's goal looked a bit too open when Alastair Patterson came free, but Kenny Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Droylsden's Trey Carsley got a free kick in the 28th minute. Kenny Hume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugh Newby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Intxixu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Piers Kerridge 37 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Fc Malá Lula's goal looked a bit too open when Hugh Newby came free, but Kenny Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenny Hume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trey Carsley in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alastair Patterson to strike the kick off in the second half. Fc Malá Lula's Kenny Hume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Fc Malá Lula from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Droylsden's Kenny Hume threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hugh Newby, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luke Greenman during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Fc Malá Lula defense, Alastair Patterson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenny Hume. The Fc Malá Lula fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenny Hume should have stopped the shot. After having played for 74 minutes, Radowit Prus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Malá Lula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radowit Prus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Radowit Prus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Malá Lula's supporters rose to their feet, but Radowit Prus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Kerridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenny Hume didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alastair Patterson went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Fc Malá Lula's Kenny Hume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Malá Lula from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute of the match Eduard Bistreanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Piers Kerridge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Droylsden's Trey Carsley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kenny Hume. That made the score 3-4 after 88 minutes of play. Alastair Pattersons short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Kenny Hume to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kenny Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Carsley in the 93rd minute of play. The Fc Malá Lula supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Droylsden's performance. The match ended with a win for Droylsden.
