Burntwood Foresters's Kev Kellaway was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luke Goodwick in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zackary Humphreys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Shephard, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Rufus Stansfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Zackary Humphreys made a huge save. Cody Ashby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luke Goodwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Burntwood Foresters's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Silvester came free, but Zackary Humphreys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Dunton Green United's Edward Silvester made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zackary Humphreys was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Burntwood Foresters's Zackary Humphreys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Silvester in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Andre Lappin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zackary Humphreys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Dunton Green United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Shephard to maneuver through the defense.
