Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cody Ashby started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Burntwood Foresters's Ronny Attwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Green made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwyn Wybrow during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. George Green came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Burntwood Foresters's Cody Ashby. But to his dismay, Cody Ashby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dane Beaver who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Zackary Humphreys when he managed to save the team from getting behind. George Green came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Burntwood Foresters's Cody Ashby. But to his dismay, Cody Ashby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Zackary Humphreys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Draper, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Runcorn defense, Ronny Attwood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Green. The Runcorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Green should have stopped the shot. George Green came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Burntwood Foresters's Garry Corby. But to his dismay, Garry Corby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. George Green showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Corby in the 38th minute of the match. Cody Ashby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. George Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Garry Corby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Green saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronny Attwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ashley Hendley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Burntwood Foresters were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dane Beaver to strike the kick off in the second half. Burntwood Foresters's Ronny Attwood got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Corby in the 61st minute of play forced Runcorn's goalkeeper George Green to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burntwood Foresters's Ronny Attwood got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cody Ashby in the 67th minute of play. Zackary Humphreys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn Wybrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Burntwood Foresters's Zackary Humphreys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyn Wybrow in the 79th minute of play. George Green showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cody Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Cody Ashby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Green saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronny Attwood got free with George Green in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the game, Gwyn Wybrow cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-7. Zackary Humphreys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Green took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cody Ashby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
