Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ash Brooks kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Butcher in the 4th minute of play forced Guildford City united fc's goalkeeper Damon Bayliff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guildford City united fc's Damon Bayliff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Guildford City united fc from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Guildford City united fc's Damon Bayliff got control of the ball when Gav Spink tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guildford City united fc's Howard Young got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damon Bayliff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Tyrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Karl Pitt came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Guildford City united fc's Hugh Cheetham. But to his dismay, Hugh Cheetham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Guildford City united fc's Damon Bayliff got control of the ball when Liam Sears tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damon Bayliff came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Donnington United's Gav Spink. But to his dismay, Gav Spink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 32 minutes into the game, Donnington United's Doug Butcher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damon Bayliff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 41 minutes into the match, Guildford City united fc's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Tyrell came free, but Damon Bayliff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gav Spink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Damon Bayliff made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doug Butcher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guildford City united fc's Damon Bayliff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Butcher in the 54th minute of play. Damon Bayliff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gav Spink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damon Bayliff came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Donnington United's Doug Butcher. But to his dismay, Doug Butcher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Damon Bayliff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Spink, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Howard Young's late challenge caught a Donnington United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Howard Young helped the player get up and apologised. Howard Young kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Steven Granville kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Guildford City united fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Granville to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Donnington United's Gav Spink got a free kick in the 69th minute. Doug Butcher took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damon Bayliff. Damon Bayliff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After 74 played minutes Donnington United got a freekick which was hit by Liam Sears. 77 minutes into the match, Donnington United's goalkeeper Karl Pitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ash Brooks. When Tinko Lachev fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guildford City united fc's protests and gave Tinko Lachev a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Guildford City united fc got a freekick which was hit by Tinko Lachev. Damon Bayliff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gav Spink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damon Bayliff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Butcher in the 81st minute of play. Guildford City united fc's Damon Bayliff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Butcher in the 84th minute of play. Doug Butcher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Anselmo Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guildford City united fc's protests and gave Anselmo Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guildford City united fc's Anselmo Navarro got a free kick in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gav Spink in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damon Bayliff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl Pitt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ash Brooks went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Donnington United were the better team. Donnington United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
