When Tinko Lachev fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guildford City united fc's protests and gave Tinko Lachev a yellow card for diving instead. Ash Brooks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Duckworth having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the match, Adam Fronczak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Damon Bayliff saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute, Steven Granville hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Brooks in the 42nd minute of play forced Freedom's goalkeeper Dylan Duckworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan Duckworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ash Brooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damon Bayliff came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Freedom's Adam Fronczak. But to his dismay, Adam Fronczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ash Brooks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was Staffan Nyberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Staffan Nyberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Freedom's Dylan Duckworth did a great save. In the 84thth minute of the game Ash Brooks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Freedom's Dylan Duckworth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ash Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
