Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Beverley Saints F.C.'s Tommy Clarkson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Evans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Samuel Evans notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ninfield's Freddie Meehan. Freddie Meehan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stuart Sawyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ritchie Bator, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Ninfield defense, Tommy Clarkson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddie Meehan. The Ninfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddie Meehan should have stopped the shot. Mickey Ashton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Stuart Sawyer made a huge save. Freddie Meehan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Evans in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Stew Coton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Evans in the 23rd minute of play forced Ninfield's goalkeeper Freddie Meehan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Samuel Evans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ninfield's Freddie Meehan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ritchie Bator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ritchie Bator might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stuart Sawyer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ritchie Bator ran back to his position shaking his head. Lenny Horner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Meehan having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Vinnie May hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Beverley Saints F.C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Bator in the 52nd minute of play forced Beverley Saints F.C.'s goalkeeper Stuart Sawyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Beverley Saints F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rueben Gardener came free, but Stuart Sawyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddie Meehan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Stone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beverley Saints F.C.'s Stuart Sawyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rueben Gardener in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the Beverley Saints F.C. defense, Ritchie Bator kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stuart Sawyer. The Beverley Saints F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stuart Sawyer should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the game, Tommy Clarkson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddie Meehan. Tommy Clarkson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Samuel Evans kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Mickey Ashton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Samuel Evans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Ritchie Bator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ritchie Bator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Evans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Freddie Meehan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Ninfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stew Coton to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Beverley Saints F.C.'s zone, Mickey Ashton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stuart Sawyer came out of the goal and Mickey Ashton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Evans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Freddie Meehan made a huge save. Tommy Clarkson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Freddie Meehan came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Clarkson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 96th minute. The Beverley Saints F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
