Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Doug Butcher kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Doug Butcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donnington United's Karl Pitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Donnington United from getting a goal against them. Joel Dlyan scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Pitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl Pitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Cartwright, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes, Liam Sears mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donnington United and the The White Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karl Pitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Cartwright in the 12th minute of the match. Karl Pitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Cartwright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 18 in the game by Joel Dlyan from a close distance when the talented Karl Pitt managed to make a qualified save. Donnington United's players were relieved. When Gav Spink came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Donnington United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gav Spink couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Joel Dlyan made a precise shot to the right of Karl Pitt. Donnington United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. With a little luck, Donnington United's Karl Pitt got control of the ball when Doug Walker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mattias Cartwright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Pitt having to interfere. Joel Dlyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Mattias Cartwright recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Karl Pitt. Mattias Cartwright showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. If Joel Dlyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doug Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Karl Pitt made a huge save. In the 45th match minute, Donnington United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Sears to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Donnington United's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Walker came free, but Karl Pitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Donnington United's Leon Marler got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Gav Spink dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Francis Gurney, 4-1. Karl Pitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nial Blakeley in the 58th minute of play. Joel Dlyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Karl Pitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francis Gurney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Butcher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, The White Rovers's Joel Dlyan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Pitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. In the 67thth minute of the game Mattias Cartwright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Donnington United's Karl Pitt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Pitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Dlyan in the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of The White Rovers booed when Donnington United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Sears didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Mattias Cartwright cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Karl Pitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Mattias Cartwright sped through Donnington United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl Pitt. In the 81st minute of the match The White Rovers got a corner. Donnington United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doug Walker ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led The White Rovers's Doug Walker to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl Pitt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Mattias Cartwright cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Karl Pitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Dlyan in the 86th minute of play forced Donnington United's goalkeeper Karl Pitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Donnington United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Tyrell to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Mattias Cartwright ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl Pitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-1. The supporters of The White Rovers booed when Donnington United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rick Tyrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The White Rovers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
