The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Beverley Saints F.C.'s Tommy Clarkson got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 played minutes Freedom got a freekick which was hit by Gaz Webster. Clive Bourton kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Tommy Clarkson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylan Duckworth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Freedom's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Evans came free, but Dylan Duckworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Samuel Evans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dylan Duckworth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute Samuel Evans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Duckworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dylan Duckworth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Clarkson went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Dylan Duckworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Evans in the 28th minute of the match. Clive Bourton hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Clarkson in the 34th minute of play forced Freedom's goalkeeper Dylan Duckworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freedom's Dylan Duckworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Evans in the 36th minute of play. Dylan Duckworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Clarkson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Freedom's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Clarkson came free, but Dylan Duckworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joshua Bedford kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Don Featherstone put in a rough tackle. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Beverley Saints F.C.. Henry Malpeli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dylan Duckworth. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tommy Clarkson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Beverley Saints F.C.'s Tommy Clarkson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dylan Duckworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Clarkson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Tommy Clarkson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Beverley Saints F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Beverley Saints F.C. were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Freedom's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henry Malpeli took the corner. If Tommy Clarkson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Evans got free with Dylan Duckworth in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the match, Beverley Saints F.C.'s Samuel Evans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dylan Duckworth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samuel Evans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Dylan Duckworth made a huge save. Beverley Saints F.C.'s Henry Malpeli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Freedom. Beverley Saints F.C. played a much better game than Freedom and deserved their victory. The Freedom players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
