When Tris Gardner came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Great Addington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tris Gardner couldn't finish the play. Ash Brooks took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teddy Lucas. Teddy Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Teddy Lucas came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Guildford City united fc's Ash Brooks. But to his dismay, Ash Brooks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Ash Brooks took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teddy Lucas. Teddy Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Great Addington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wes Rain to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Guildford City united fc booed when Great Addington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Hampton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ash Brooks received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
