Daniel Howson made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Richard Thompson sent off a good shot on target. Conal Lewington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristram Grantham in the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of East Leakers booed when Arcena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gav Panther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Howson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Thompson in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Arcena's Daniel Howson got control of the ball when Richard Thompson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Thompson in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Howson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 24 minutes into the match, Arcena's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Lowndes came free, but Daniel Howson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Arcena's goalkeeper Daniel Howson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Thompson. If Edward Saunders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edward Saunders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olly Morley charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olly Morley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to East Leakers getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Olly Morley hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, East Leakers's Richard Thompson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Howson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richard Thompson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Daniel Howson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Shaun Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Thompson to make the kick off. Richard Thompson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Daniel Howson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Hume's late challenge caught a Arcena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mike Hume helped the player get up and apologised. 79 minutes into the game, one of East Leakers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Howson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Thompson in the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rio Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcena's supporters rose to their feet, but Rio Lyons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conal Lewington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Howson came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by East Leakers's Richard Thompson. But to his dismay, Richard Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The East Leakers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arcena had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
