Spectators: 8020 (Terracing: 6017, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 159) Adam Fowler started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Barney Mason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Deacon having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Kenny Bayford recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfred Deacon. Kenny Bayford showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 16th minute, Brinklow United's Kenny Bayford ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfred Deacon. Alfred Deacon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Alfred Deacon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavin Waltham in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barney Mason in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Deacon saved Piqnicite from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonny French during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 23 minutes into the match, Adam Fowler notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Brinklow United's Drew Pointon. Drew Pointon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27thth minute of the game Barney Mason who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piqnicite's Alfred Deacon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfred Deacon stood somewhat misplaced when Kenny Bayford came free in front of goal and shot 4-1 to the left of him in the 30 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Osborn in the 34th minute of play forced Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenny Bayford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alfred Deacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Bayford in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barney Mason was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Piqnicite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Couzens to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Piqnicite getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jonny French hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Piqnicite's zone, Gavin Waltham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Deacon came out of the goal and Gavin Waltham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drew Pointon made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Alf Osborn sent off a good shot on target. Alfred Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barney Mason, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Brinklow United's Kenny Bayford got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Falkingham struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Alfred Deacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brinklow United. 84 minutes into the match, Brinklow United's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Fowler came free, but Drew Pointon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Piqnicite's Adam Fowler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Drew Pointon. That made the score 5-2 after 92 minutes of play. In the 96th minute, Andre Falkingham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Deacon was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. When the referee ended the match the Brinklow United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
