After some careless play in the Arcena defense, Cliff Gordon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Howson. The Arcena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Howson should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Arcena's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Fuller came free, but Daniel Howson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arcena's Daniel Howson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Fuller in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rio Fuller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Howson was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Cliff Gordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Howson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rio Fuller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Howson was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Saunders to make the kick off. Charlie Monk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Howson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Cliff Gordon could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Daniel Howson however easily saved by the left post. Cliff Gordon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Howson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Parma Wanderers made a substitution. George Munroe replaced Kirk Perkins. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Daniel Howson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Parma Wanderers booed when Arcena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gav Panther didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Russ Hunter lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Daniel Howson. Daniel Howson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Russ Hunter went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Parma Wanderers's Brett Dingle got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Parma Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Whitworth came free, but Pawel Makarewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arcena's Daniel Howson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Fuller in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Parma Wanderers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arcena.
