The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Bowen in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Arcena getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gav Panther hit a great ball. Boscastle's Lewis Van Der Hoorn got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mike Walters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Saunders in the 7th minute. Boscastle's Mike Walters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Boscastle from getting a goal against them. After 11 played minutes Boscastle got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Aggelis. Don McGrath's late challenge caught a Arcena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Don McGrath helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Boscastle getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Don McGrath hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Arcena's Nat Tuck got a free kick in the 14th minute. Mike Walters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Saunders, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conan Edmunds in the 20th minute of play forced Arcena's goalkeeper Daniel Howson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Arcena got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Bowen. Daniel Howson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alastair Harris's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Boscastle's Mike Walters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Whitworth in the 29th minute of play. Edward Saunders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Mike Walters made a huge save. Donald Cryer hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Arcena booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alastair Harris didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Edward Saunders took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mike Walters to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Saunders in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Walters saved Boscastle from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Saunders to make the kick off. Mike Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Archer in the 55th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Boscastle got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Aggelis. After some careless play in the Boscastle defense, Edward Saunders kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike Walters. The Boscastle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike Walters should have stopped the shot. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Saunders in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Saunders in the 66th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Robin Whitworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Archer took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Walters. Mike Walters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Saunders in the 74th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Shaun Bowen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arcena's Daniel Howson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alastair Harris in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rio Lyons in the 79th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Saunders in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Edward Saunders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Don McGrath kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, Arcena's Rio Lyons made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mike Walters was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mike Walters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Archer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Robin Whitworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Walters was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Mike Walters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Whitworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Arcena were the better team. Arcena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
