Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Saunders started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Tristram Grantham made a precise shot to the right of Tosh Swain. Stratton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gav Panther charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gav Panther the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stratton City booed when Arcena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gav Panther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stratton City's Tosh Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Archer in the 9th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Stratton City's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Saunders came free, but Tosh Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Shaun Bowen notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Stratton City's Tosh Swain. Tosh Swain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Whitworth in the 21st minute of play forced Stratton City's goalkeeper Tosh Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tosh Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Lyons in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Edward Saunders made a precise shot to the right of Tosh Swain. Tosh Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Saunders in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Stratton City's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Whitworth came free, but Tosh Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shaun Bowen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tosh Swain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Hewitt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Arcena's Tristram Grantham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tosh Swain. Tosh Swain yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Tosh Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Whitworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simeon Rowland during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Stratton City got a freekick which was hit by Simeon Rowland. Tosh Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Whitworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Brynn Kennedy hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Nat Tuck from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Tosh Swain's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nat Tuck in the 63rd minute of play forced Stratton City's goalkeeper Tosh Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Donny Hunter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rio Lyons scored 0-6 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tosh Swain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when Marc Ramsden put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Stratton City's Marc Ramsden got a free kick in the 75th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tristram Grantham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tosh Swain. That made the score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. A collision led to Arcena getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Tristram Grantham hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Robin Whitworth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tosh Swain. Stratton City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Whitworth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. When the match was over Arcena could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stratton City throughout the match.
