With a little luck, Stratton City's Tosh Swain got control of the ball when Alf Osborn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, Stratton City's Ronan Furlong seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ronan Furlong the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stratton City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ronan Furlong had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stratton City's goalkeeper Tosh Swain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clive Marriott succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 16th playminute. 20 minutes into the match, Stratton City's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Fowler came free, but Tosh Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stratton City's Tosh Swain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Stratton City from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Piqnicite's Adam Fowler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tosh Swain. Tosh Swain yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Alf Osborn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Tosh Swain made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tris Warner got free with Tosh Swain in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stratton City's Tosh Swain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Stratton City from getting a goal against them. Tosh Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Mortimer in the 30th minute of the match. Roger Couzens kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Alfred Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Holmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Stratton City defense, Clive Marriott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tosh Swain. The Stratton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tosh Swain should have stopped the shot. Tosh Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny French in the 41st minute of the match. With a little luck, Stratton City's Tosh Swain got control of the ball when Alf Osborn tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Piqnicite's Jonny French slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tosh Swain. That made the score 6-0 after 47 minutes of play.

Trevor Dodgson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tosh Swain came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Piqnicite's Dave Mortimer. But to his dismay, Dave Mortimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Alf Osborn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Stratton City's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Fowler came free, but Tosh Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Stratton City getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Peter Hewitt hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Ross Henry sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tosh Swain skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Piqnicite's goal looked a bit too open when Simeon Rowland came free, but Alfred Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tosh Swain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alf Osborn's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After 93 minutes of play, Piqnicite's Jonny French made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tosh Swain was left in no man's land by his defense there!
