Spectators: 7993 (Terracing: 5996, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barney Mason started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Brinklow United's Gavin Waltham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mike Walters. Mike Walters yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8th match minute, Brinklow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerry Allwright to maneuver through the defense. Rhys Cummings came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mike Walters could save by the left post. After 14 played minutes Brinklow United got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Bayford. Andre Falkingham charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andre Falkingham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Brinklow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Falkingham to maneuver through the defense. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barney Mason in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Kenny Bayford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Walters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavin Waltham in the 22nd minute. Drew Pointon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conan Edmunds, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alastair Harris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Don McGrath left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boscastle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 32nd match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis Van Der Hoorn to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Boscastle getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Denzil Tabb hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Gavin Waltham made a precise shot to the right of Mike Walters. Boscastle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Andre Falkingham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike Walters having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alastair Harris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mike Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Waltham in the 51st minute of play. Kenny Bayford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Barney Mason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Crispin Collingwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Collingwood in the 79th minute of play forced Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Kenny Bayford made a precise shot to the right of Mike Walters. Boscastle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don McGrath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drew Pointon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Rusby in the 91st minute of the match. Quentin Plant was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. Quentin Plant kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, Boscastle's Alastair Harris made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drew Pointon was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Boscastle players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brinklow United.
