Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6001, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alastair Harris kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Don McGrath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute Richard Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Thompson in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Boscastle's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Thompson came free, but Mike Walters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boscastle's Mike Walters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Thompson in the 12th minute of play. Mike Walters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Thompson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boscastle! Mike Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Thompson in the 26th minute of play. Alastair Harris hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Boscastle got a freekick which was hit by Grant Higgins. In the 32nd minute, one of Boscastle:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boscastle. The referee gave East Leakers a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Verne Fountain, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Boscastle's Mike Walters. 0-2. Conal Lewington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alastair Harris in the 38th minute of play. Mike Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Thompson in the 44th minute of play. After the first half East Leakers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Thompson made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as East Leakers's Richard Thompson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mike Walters. That made the score 0-3 after 56 minutes of play. The supporters of East Leakers booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Van Der Hoorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boscastle! When Marek Hampshire came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the East Leakers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Hampshire couldn't finish the play. In the 66thth minute of the game Richard Thompson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boscastle's Mike Walters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Olly Morley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mike Walters. The goal made the score 0-5. East Leakers's Richard Thompson got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 minutes, Richard Thompson made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Boscastle's Mike Walters tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Boscastle's Mike Walters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Boscastle from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Richard Thompson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Walters. Boscastle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Thompson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Crispin Collingwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Conal Lewington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boscastle's Mike Walters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olly Morley in the 89th minute of play. With his leg Mike Walters managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when East Leakers's Richard Thompson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Boscastle's Mike Walters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Boscastle from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, East Leakers's Aaron Beswetherick got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Boscastle fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. East Leakers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
