When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alastair Harris sped through FC Muie Steaua's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Perry Speight. Crispin Collingwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Speight having to interfere. Grant Higgins kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Muie Steaua's Gary Gerrard got a free kick in the 17th minute. Perry Speight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alastair Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the match, FC Muie Steaua's goal looked a bit too open when Conan Edmunds came free, but Perry Speight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damion Shuttleworth charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damion Shuttleworth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes FC Muie Steaua got a freekick which was hit by Damion Shuttleworth. 31 minutes into the game, FC Muie Steaua's Dean Bower nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mike Walters made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mike Walters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gary Gerrard went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Pat Prince hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alastair Harris made a kick off. In the 59th minute, FC Muie Steaua's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Crispin Collingwood fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Boscastle getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Bradley Rusby hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Grant Higgins suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 70th minute of the match Gary Gerrard completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gary Gerrard a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pat Prince fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Walters having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, FC Muie Steaua's Pat Prince sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Walters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pat Prince sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
