Liam Clarke charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Liam Clarke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Farman FC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Clarke. A collision led to Brinklow United getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Barney Mason hit a great ball. Drew Pointon was a little too slow when Phil Barnett got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 20th minute, Farman FC's Phil Barnett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Drew Pointon. Drew Pointon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Brinklow United's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Barnett came free, but Drew Pointon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Damion Colbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lawrence Land. Farman FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damion Colbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 28th match minute, Farman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Henry to maneuver through the defense. Lawrence Land showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Waltham in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Farman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Waltham came free, but Lawrence Land reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Farman FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lee Blowman hit a great ball. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Barnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drew Pointon made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Rupert Purvis sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phil Barnett was the one to do the kick off. Farman FC's Rupert Purvis got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Phil Barnett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Drew Pointon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 59 minutes into the game, when Damion Colbert put in a rough tackle. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Farman FC. Phil Barnett stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Drew Pointon. 5-2. Kenny Bayford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Farman FC got a freekick which was hit by Lee Blowman. Gavin Waltham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Land having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Brinklow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Skinner to maneuver through the defense. Farman FC's Rupert Purvis got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 minutes of play, Farman FC's Phil Barnett made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drew Pointon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brinklow United's Drew Pointon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Purvis in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Phil Barnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Pointon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gavin Waltham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lawrence Land. That made the score 7-3 in the 88 minute of play. Drew Pointon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Purvis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 93 played minutes Brinklow United got a freekick which was hit by Barney Mason. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Purvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Purvis in the 97th minute of play forced Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farman FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
