In the 10th minute, Dale Cummings ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pete Halford was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Pete Halford was a little too slow when Dale Cummings got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Kalischer during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Huddersfield FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. David Kalischer hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huddersfield FC's zone, Dale Cummings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Halford came out of the goal and Dale Cummings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Dale Cummings managed to get in a good position for a shot. Friggle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Cummings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pete Halford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cliff Reynolds managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huddersfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cliff Reynolds was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Gunn to make the kick off. Todd Whittaker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Arturo Boruc made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Cummings in the 60th minute of play forced Huddersfield FC's goalkeeper Pete Halford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dale Cummings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pete Halford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friggle FC's Robert Voltri was substituted for Dale Cummings. Pete Halford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Voltri in the 66th minute of the match. Gordon Newman struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Arturo Boruc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huddersfield FC. After 75 minutes, Gez Hold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huddersfield FC and the Friggle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Friggle FC booed when Huddersfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gez Hold didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Robert Voltri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Friggle FC's Robert Voltri got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gez Hold got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 81 played minutes Huddersfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Gez Hold. Pete Halford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Voltri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Robert Voltri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Friggle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Voltri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pete Halford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derek Pitt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Arturo Boruc when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Friggle FC had won after a very even match.
