The nice shot from Dale Cummings in the 10thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ben Gaskell had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 17th minute Dale Cummings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Gaskell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bulwell getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodd Horner hit a great ball. Friggle FC's Rex Jackson took a good shot, in the 21st minute, which hit the crossbar above Ben Gaskell's head, and flew over the goal. Bulwell's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Friggle FC. 24 minutes into the match, Bulwell's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Cummings came free, but Ben Gaskell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Friggle FC booed when Bulwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodd Horner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dale Cummings in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ben Gaskell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 28 minutes, Dale Cummings managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Friggle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Cummings was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dale Cummings recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urban Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bulwell's Ben Gaskell got control of the ball when Dale Cummings tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner ended in Rex Jackson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bulwell's Ben Gaskell did a great save. With his leg Ben Gaskell managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Friggle FC's Dale Cummings fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ty Kellaway made a kick off. Dale Cummings hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Bulwell defense, Dale Cummings kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Gaskell. The Bulwell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Gaskell should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dale Cummings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben Gaskell was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bulwell's zone, Dale Cummings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Gaskell came out of the goal and Dale Cummings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Robert Voltri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Friggle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Friggle FC's Robert Voltri got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Bulwell's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Voltri came free, but Ben Gaskell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Robert Voltri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ben Gaskell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Voltri, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Friggle FC's Robert Voltri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ben Gaskell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Friggle FC had played much better football throughout.
