Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sutton Valence FC's Gregory Winterburn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jack Norton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quint Verlengia in the 7th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yakov Taktarov couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gregory Winterburn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mick Thomson was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th match minute, Sutton Valence FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Evans to maneuver through the defense. Buster Browning charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Buster Browning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Buster Browning hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yakov Taktarov to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Billie Devine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Thomson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mick Thomson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sutton Valence FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Warriors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
