Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fraser Gerrard got the match started through his kick off. Vincent Straker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaq Biernat's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Rex Way fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Straker having to interfere. Niall Hurst hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, East Grinstead's Niall Hurst got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Tyler Southgate sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and East Grinstead's Vincent Straker didn't even have to move. Rex Way received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Vincent Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Tyler Southgate mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MK Dans and the East Grinstead players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Tyler Southgate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Bruce Newby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conal Edwards showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bruce Newby placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Matthew Pascoe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Conal Edwards when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rex Way in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vincent Straker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rex Way's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Straker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rex Way managed to get in a good position for a shot. MK Dans's supporters rose to their feet, but Rex Way was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincent Straker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MK Dans's Zaq Biernat got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vincent Straker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaq Biernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match MK Dans got a corner. East Grinstead's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tyler Southgate ran over to the corner to take the kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Zaq Biernat made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Fraser Gerrard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conal Edwards was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Fraser Gerrard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Grinstead fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in MK Dans's zone, Matthew Pascoe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conal Edwards came out of the goal and Matthew Pascoe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conal Edwards showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fraser Gerrard, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute of the match Louis York shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conal Edwards showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Rex Way had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zaq Biernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vincent Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthew Pascoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conal Edwards having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
