The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pete Halford showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 7th minute, Charles Gunn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Noel Bullock. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 12th minute, Dom Mills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dom Mills hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Derek Pitt got free with Noel Bullock in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ritchie Knight-Percival received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pete Halford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Ritchie Knight-Percival shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Halford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Gunn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Huddersfield FC defense, Ritchie Knight-Percival kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pete Halford. The Huddersfield FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pete Halford should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Aaron Griffiths left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killer Giants FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Trey Ely came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Killer Giants FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trey Ely couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The supporters of Huddersfield FC booed when Killer Giants FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Horner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huddersfield FC's Pete Halford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Griffiths in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Griffiths in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pete Halford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Huddersfield FC's Pete Halford got control of the ball when Ritchie Knight-Percival tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute Aaron Griffiths shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Halford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Huddersfield FC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Huddersfield FC's Charles Gunn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Derek Pitt struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Noel Bullock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huddersfield FC. After a defensive mix-up in Huddersfield FC's zone, Aaron Griffiths stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Halford came out of the goal and Aaron Griffiths tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Killer Giants FC's Noel Bullock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Pitt in the 86th minute of play. Felix Pope lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Killer Giants FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Huddersfield FC. Todd Whittaker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Noel Bullock. 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derek Pitt in the 93rd minute of play forced Killer Giants FC's goalkeeper Noel Bullock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Huddersfield FC's Charles Gunn got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek Pitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Eubank's late challenge caught a Killer Giants FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendon Eubank helped the player get up and apologised. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
