Trev Cahill was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Dale Cummings capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dale Cummings really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Friggle FC's Urban Ekström got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trev Cahill came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Friggle FC's Dale Cummings. But to his dismay, Dale Cummings quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dale Cummings could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Trev Cahill made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Friggle FC's Dale Cummings sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Cahill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by River Thames FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rex Jackson was slow to take the kick. During this time Friggle FC's players had a chance to rest. Friggle FC's Andrea Cameli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Trev Cahill in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian York in the 21st minute of play forced Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Amedeo Verdecchia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trev Cahill was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Andrea Cameli with Amedeo Verdecchia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Cummings in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trev Cahill saved River Thames FC from getting behind. Trev Cahill didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Friggle FC's Dale Cummings shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Dale Cummings could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Trev Cahill made a huge save. After 41 played minutes Friggle FC got a freekick which was hit by Urban Ekström.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Cummings to make the kick off. Friggle FC's Dale Cummings got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, River Thames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Cummings came free, but Trev Cahill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Aktuğ Gariboğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Délio Kartal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trev Cahill was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Robert Voltri sped through River Thames FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trev Cahill. 74 minutes into the match, River Thames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Voltri came free, but Trev Cahill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Hunter hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Robert Voltri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Friggle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Voltri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Robert Voltri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Rex Jackson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Trev Cahill quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Friggle FC's Amedeo Verdecchia got a free kick in the 91st minute. There was no doubt that Friggle FC were the better team. Friggle FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
