Ty Kellaway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Norton having to interfere. Ben Gaskell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billie Devine, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ty Kellaway made a kick off. Geoff Titmus hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Sutton Valence FC defense, Ty Kellaway kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Norton. The Sutton Valence FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Norton should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Winterburn in the 59th minute of play forced Bulwell's goalkeeper Ben Gaskell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Ty Kellaway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Norton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frazer Odell in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jack Norton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ty Kellaway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Graham Clemence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Bobby Evans in the 74th minute really tested Ben Gaskell's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a little luck, Bulwell's Ben Gaskell got control of the ball when Billie Devine tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Bulwell booed when Sutton Valence FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billie Devine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sutton Valence FC's zone, Ty Kellaway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Norton came out of the goal and Ty Kellaway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jack Norton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Kellaway in the 89th minute of the match. Sutton Valence FC's Jack Norton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Odell in the 90th minute of play. Ty Kellaway's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Norton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd play minute Billie Devine came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ben Gaskell. 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Bulwell players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
