Spectators: 7992 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) Damian Meadowcroft started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Gone With the Win's Keiran Barkley got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Ignazio in the 15th minute of play forced Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ron Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes Gone With the Win's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruben Folan who took care of the corner kick. Ruben Folan made a great header on Husbands's corner, it was just that Gone With the Win's Ron Cordingley managed to reach the ball for a save. After 18 played minutes Husbands got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Ignazio. Ron Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Meadowcroft in the 22nd minute of play. Jools Hallam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Husbands's Charles Hurst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Husbands from getting a goal against them. In the 28thth minute of the game Damian Meadowcroft who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gone With the Win's Ron Cordingley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gone With the Win's zone, Damian Meadowcroft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Cordingley came out of the goal and Damian Meadowcroft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Gone With the Win defense, Damian Meadowcroft kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ron Cordingley. The Gone With the Win fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ron Cordingley should have stopped the shot. Garry Stobbs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Cordingley having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Miller. Mathias Terpstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ron Cordingley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ron Cordingley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Meadowcroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Terpstra's late challenge caught a Gone With the Win's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Terpstra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Husbands getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mathias Terpstra hit a great ball. When Trev Hartshorn fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gone With the Win's protests and gave Trev Hartshorn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Trev Hartshorn hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Ruben Folan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ron Cordingley skillfully saved the ball. The Gone With the Win players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Husbands were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jools Hallam to make the kick off. If Mathias Terpstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gone With the Win's Ron Cordingley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Gone With the Win from getting a goal against them. Ruben Folan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Cordingley having to interfere. Ron Cordingley didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. 68 minutes into the game, Dylon Beswetherick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ron Cordingley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trev Hartshorn struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Charles Hurst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gone With the Win. Charles Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jools Hallam in the 78th minute of play. Ron Cordingley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Terpstra's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Husbands's Mathias Terpstra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ron Cordingley. That made the score 0-5 after 96 minutes of play. Husbands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
