Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6001, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Craig Billington started the match with the kick off. Todd Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Bond in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Reggie Higgins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Todd Rose was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. United FC's Todd Rose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reggie Higgins in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Unia Tarnow booed when United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Eastham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes, Unia Tarnow's Lloyd Fry shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Todd Rose came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unia Tarnow reached it. With his leg Jon Johnstone managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when United FC's Huey Nicholls fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Todd Rose came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Unia Tarnow's Rory Bevan. But to his dismay, Rory Bevan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Todd Rose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reggie Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rory Bevan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Todd Rose having to make a save. 1-3 became the score in the 36th minute when Reggie Higgins elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Craig Billington's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Jon Johnstone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jon Johnstone made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Craig Billington sent off a good shot on target. Reggie Higgins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Todd Rose tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The United FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unia Tarnow were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rory Bevan was the one to do the kick off. One of United FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Unia Tarnow:s goal. United FC:s Todd Rose showed great skill when he stopped Lloyd Fry:s penalty. Lloyd Fry did an outstanding performance 65 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-4 to the right of an irritated Todd Rose in the goal. Craig Billington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marek Bryden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jon Johnstone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Rory Bevan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Rose saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Reggie Higgins came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Unia Tarnow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reggie Higgins couldn't finish the play. United FC's Todd Rose proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save United FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 76 minutes, Craig Billington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Billington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 played minutes United FC got a freekick which was hit by Huey Nicholls. 84 minutes into the match, United FC's goalkeeper Todd Rose had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil Sullivan. In the 85thth minute of the game Craig Billington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unia Tarnow's Jon Johnstone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dave Colman hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. With a little luck, United FC's Todd Rose got control of the ball when Tom Bond tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Craig Billington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unia Tarnow's Jon Johnstone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see United FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
