Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doug Armstrong started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Dennis Faulkner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kidderminster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Faulkner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Tom Bond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dane Clist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dion Pollock kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Bevan in the 14th minute of play forced Kidderminster's goalkeeper Dane Clist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Unia Tarnow's Gwyn Letheren got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Dennis Faulkner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Doug Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th of the match, Dennis Faulkner tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jon Johnstone got in the way and made a wonderful save. Jon Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Faulkner in the 28th minute of the match. When Tom Bond fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unia Tarnow's protests and gave Tom Bond a yellow card for diving instead. Tom Bond kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A hard shot by Glenn Jump from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Jon Johnstone's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug Armstrong got free with Jon Johnstone in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unia Tarnow's Jon Johnstone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Unia Tarnow from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Bevan came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Edward Crooks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Rice, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Reggie Higgins scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dane Clist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dennis Faulkner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jon Johnstone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Dennis Faulkner made a precise shot to the right of Jon Johnstone. Unia Tarnow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Unia Tarnow's zone, Doug Armstrong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon Johnstone came out of the goal and Doug Armstrong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Armstrong in the 60th minute of play forced Unia Tarnow's goalkeeper Jon Johnstone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reggie Higgins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Dane Clist made a huge save. Dane Clist was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Tom Bond capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tom Bond really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. 74 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Sullivan came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graeme Rice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80thth minute of the game Dennis Faulkner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unia Tarnow's Jon Johnstone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's Doug Armstrong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon Johnstone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dion Pollock kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Lloyd Fry was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Unia Tarnow were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kidderminster's much stronger midfield.
