Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Doug Armstrong made the kick off which started today's match. Dane Clist came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Husbands's Damian Meadowcroft. But to his dismay, Damian Meadowcroft quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Meadowcroft in the 8th minute of play forced Kidderminster's goalkeeper Dane Clist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Meadowcroft in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Damian Meadowcroft had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Clist. Kidderminster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Meadowcroft was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Meadowcroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Rice in the 31st minute of play forced Husbands's goalkeeper Charles Hurst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kidderminster were furious when Johnathon Seagrave was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Mathias Terpstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Mathias Terpstra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Husbands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The Kidderminster players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Husbands were winning 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Meadowcroft to make the kick off. After 54 minutes Kidderminster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruben Folan who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Erubiel Ignazio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 66 minutes into the match, Mathias Terpstra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Clist. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Damian Meadowcroft sent off a good shot on target. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Terpstra in the 70th minute of play. Terry Baldwin hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Kidderminster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Cryer to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Ruben Folan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doug Armstrong hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Terpstra came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Damian Meadowcroft managed to get in a good position for a shot. Husbands's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Meadowcroft was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Clist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Meadowcroft got free with Dane Clist in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dane Clist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Terpstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Dane Clist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Meadowcroft in the 87th minute. Mathias Terpstra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dane Clist came out and tried to block the shot, but Mathias Terpstra slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 90th minute. Charles Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Faulkner in the 95th minute of play. If Mathias Terpstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Husbands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
