Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Craig Billington took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Göyüş Ziyadov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Greg Devine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royston FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Devine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Todd Rose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Craig Billington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Gilmour having to interfere. Walter Gray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Royston FC's Billy Gilmour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Gray in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Royston FC booed when United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Eastham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Craig Billington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Gilmour having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Royston FC's Lewis Willmott dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Göyüş Ziyadov took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Todd Rose. Todd Rose dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Göyüş Ziyadov notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of United FC's Todd Rose. Todd Rose was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lewis Willmott came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Todd Rose could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Craig Billington had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Billy Gilmour. Royston FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Craig Billington was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 43rd minute Craig Billington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Gilmour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, United FC's goalkeeper Todd Rose had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Göyüş Ziyadov. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Varela made a kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Craig Billington from a close distance when the talented Billy Gilmour managed to make a qualified save. Royston FC's players were relieved. 56 minutes into the game, United FC's Craig Billington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Gilmour made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 59th minute, Lewis Willmott ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Todd Rose was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Todd Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Varela in the 69th minute of play. Craig Billington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Gilmour having to interfere. After a rather tough play, United FC's Huey Nicholls got a free kick in the 77th minute. Todd Rose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dion Wilkes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, United FC's Neil Eastham seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Neil Eastham the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of United FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Neil Eastham had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to United FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Neil Eastham hit a great ball. Todd Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göyüş Ziyadov in the 85th minute of play. Todd Rose showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Royston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Billington came free, but Billy Gilmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Richard Varela notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of United FC's Todd Rose. Todd Rose was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Royston FC's Richard Varela in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye United FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to United FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Huey Nicholls hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Royston FC had won after a very even match.
