Bramcote's Trevor Preece played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Șerbulescu in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Bramcote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Cobb to maneuver through the defense. From close distance Brynn La Forte pressed in the 2-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 93 minutes into the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
