Göyüş Ziyadov scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dane Clist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Doug Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug Armstrong got free with Billy Gilmour in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doug Armstrong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Billy Gilmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göyüş Ziyadov struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dane Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royston FC. After 20 minutes, Dion Pollock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kidderminster and the Royston FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kidderminster getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Dion Pollock hit a great ball. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Willmott in the 28th minute of play. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Devine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Varela came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kidderminster were furious when Glenn Jump was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ruben Sledge struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dane Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royston FC. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Göyüş Ziyadov sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goalkeeper Dane Clist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Göyüş Ziyadov. 57 minutes into the match, Greg Devine notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Kidderminster's Dane Clist. Dane Clist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Göyüş Ziyadov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Dane Clist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Lewis Willmott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edward Crooks fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kidderminster's protests and gave Edward Crooks a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Kidderminster got a freekick which was hit by Edward Crooks. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Göyüş Ziyadov sent off a good shot on target. Dennis Faulkner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Gilmour read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Göyüş Ziyadov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Göyüş Ziyadov sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Kidderminster defense, Göyüş Ziyadov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dane Clist. The Kidderminster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dane Clist should have stopped the shot. Billy Gilmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Crooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Greg Devine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Royston FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kidderminster the free kick. After a rather tough play, Royston FC's Greg Devine got a free kick in the 90th minute. Johnathon Seagrave hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Dennis Faulkner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Gilmour having to interfere. The Kidderminster supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Royston FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Royston FC.
