Spectators: 7969 (Terracing: 5978, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 158) Gone With the Win's Dean Windsor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Billington in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Cordingley saved Gone With the Win from getting behind. Dean Windsor hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blair Allison during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Blair Allison. In the 11thth minute of the game Craig Billington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gone With the Win's Ron Cordingley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Huey Nicholls recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Craig Billington put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ron Cordingley. Alfred Beavan struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ron Cordingley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for United FC. If Craig Billington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When United FC's Craig Billington in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Craig Billington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Huey Nicholls got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gone With the Win's Ron Cordingley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Nicholls in the 45th minute of play. Ron Cordingley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Craig Billington's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Craig Billington made a kick off. Gone With the Win's Blair Allison got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Blair Allison off the ground. Blair Allison hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ron Cordingley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Gray's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Craig Billington who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ron Cordingley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Craig Billington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of United FC booed when Gone With the Win was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Windsor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dean Windsor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Rose having to interfere. If Craig Billington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Craig Billington who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Ron Cordingley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Craig Billington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Cordingley having to interfere. Craig Billington did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Ron Cordingley 95 minutes into the match. United FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
