After a rather tough play, Little Harrowden's Dane Lynch got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Rob Draper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Big B United's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Draper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Barr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zaq Vaughan charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zaq Vaughan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Little Harrowden booed when Big B United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaq Vaughan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Big B United's goal looked a bit too open when Trev Bilham came free, but Andre Ellerton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Little Harrowden's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Draper came free, but Ben Barr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Ellerton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trev Bilham in the 16th minute of play. Ron Sharpe kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Kirk Burrows kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Orchard in the 28th minute of play forced Big B United's goalkeeper Andre Ellerton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Rob Draper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Barr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Nick Featherstone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ron Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Barr having to interfere. Big B United's Rob Draper got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Ron Sharpe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Barr. Little Harrowden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ron Sharpe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Trev Bilham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andre Ellerton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Sean Howden hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Little Harrowden got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Lundy. Ben Barr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Draper, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Andre Ellerton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trev Bilham in the 70th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Big B United's Ron Sharpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Barr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Fred Orchard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Andre Ellerton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 84 minutes, Ron Sharpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Big B United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ron Sharpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Sharpe in the 93rd minute of play forced Little Harrowden's goalkeeper Ben Barr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Trev Bilham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Ellerton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rob Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ben Barr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
