Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Junior Prince kicked off to start the match. The Hungry Toads's Brandon Connor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Prince in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Hungry Toads's Sebastian Langford got a free kick in the 4th minute. The Hungry Toads's Brandon Connor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save The Hungry Toads from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Martin Snowdon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastien Bridge was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Steve Addison charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steve Addison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Welling FC's Steve Addison got a free kick in the 9th minute. Sebastien Bridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Snowdon's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. With an all-out effort, Welling FC's Brandon Connor threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Junior Prince, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 15 minutes of play, Welling FC's Steve Addison made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brandon Connor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Snowdon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastien Bridge having to make a save. Martin Snowdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Welling FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Barney McKeown hit a great ball. Robbie Wing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Brandon Connor made a huge save. Sebastien Bridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Snowdon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Welling FC's Steve Addison got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Steve Addison off the ground. A collision led to Welling FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Steve Addison hit a great ball. The The Hungry Toads fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when The Hungry Toads's Martin Snowdon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Welling FC's Bryan Vaughan got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Snowdon to strike the kick off in the second half. If Martin Snowdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbie Wing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Junior Prince ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brandon Connor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Robbie Wing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Welling FC booed when The Hungry Toads was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Langford didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Robbie Wing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Welling FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Wing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Connor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bryan Vaughan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brandon Connor having to make a save. Jack Nethercot kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Niall Basham from long distance, 74 minutes into the match, got Sebastien Bridge's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A hard shot 75 in the game by Martin Snowdon from a close distance when the talented Sebastien Bridge managed to make a qualified save. Welling FC's players were relieved. In the 78th minute, Martin Snowdon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Snowdon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Sebastien Bridge skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Barney McKeown fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Welling FC's protests and gave Barney McKeown a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Welling FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Hungry Toads:s goal. Niall Basham walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Brandon Connor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Wing in the 94th minute of the match. Sebastian Langford's late challenge caught a Welling FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Langford helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Hungry Toads getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sebastian Langford hit a great ball. Martin Snowdon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastien Bridge having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Welling FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Hungry Toads had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
