Giles Gale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Shane Gunn with Trev Bilham as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 22ndth minute of the game Phillip Gettins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Little Harrowden's Ben Barr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Phillip Gettins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Trev Bilham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giles Gale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giles Gale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trev Bilham's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. When Ronnie Eastham fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Brid's protests and gave Ronnie Eastham a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trev Bilham was the one to do the kick off. Matthew Renwick hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Fred Orchard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Giles Gale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Little Harrowden's zone, Pierce Topham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Barr came out of the goal and Pierce Topham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Trev Bilham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Quentin Marshall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Barr having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Shane Gunn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Little Harrowden and the Real Brid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Shane Gunn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Garry Sutcliffe in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Brid's Ronnie Eastham. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phillip Gettins in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Barr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 78 minutes, Phillip Gettins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Brid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phillip Gettins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Little Harrowden's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Gettins came free, but Ben Barr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Phillip Gettins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phillip Gettins struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Ben Barr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Brid. Ben Barr came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Brid's Phillip Gettins. But to his dismay, Phillip Gettins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 94 minutes into the match, Little Harrowden's goal looked a bit too open when Quentin Marshall came free, but Ben Barr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Little Harrowden echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Real Brid had held the ball for most of the match.
