Spectators: 8058 (Terracing: 6045, Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfredo Fini kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Workington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Neil Rundle. Woolton's Lance MacDonald couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Workington AFC. After 12 minutes Woolton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacob Bancroft who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Workington AFC booed when Woolton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Shuttleworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Woolton's Leroy Floyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Pollard in the 24th minute of play. When Workington AFC's Alfredo Fini in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woolton's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Workington AFC's Sebastian Monkhouse got control of the ball when Owen Wilberforce tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fini in the 29th minute of play forced Woolton's goalkeeper Leroy Floyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Pollard took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leroy Floyd. Leroy Floyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 33rd minute Chance Tatum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Floyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Woolton's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Fini came free, but Leroy Floyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Chance Tatum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Workington AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. A collision led to Workington AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sacha Dalby hit a great ball. Woolton's Owen Wilberforce got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42nd play minutes Alfredo Fini shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Leroy Floyd and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Workington AFC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Cavanagh to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alfredo Fini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leroy Floyd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Woolton's Leroy Floyd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Woolton from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Fini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leroy Floyd. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Jacob Bancroft kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 65 played minutes, Woolton's Nick Whitford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastian Monkhouse came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Woolton reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Fini got free with Leroy Floyd in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jo Kingston scored 0-8 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leroy Floyd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jacob Bancroft came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Workington AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Bancroft couldn't finish the play. Aaron Pollard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Leroy Floyd skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 86 minutes into the match, Woolton's goalkeeper Leroy Floyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chance Tatum. Leroy Floyd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Pollard's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Woolton's Leroy Floyd got control of the ball when Alfredo Fini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leroy Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Pollard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Workington AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
