Kauto Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jo Kingston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andre Forbes came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Workington AFC's Aaron Pollard. But to his dismay, Aaron Pollard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 34th minute, Aaron Pollard made a precise shot to the right of Andre Forbes. Kauto Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. 38 minutes into the game, Philip Abbotts threw the ball into play from the sideline. Workington AFC's Grant Beale quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Pedro Fordham fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kauto Stars's protests and gave Pedro Fordham a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Workington AFC booed when Kauto Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Fordham didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Kauto Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Kingston came free, but Andre Forbes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Aaron Pollard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Forbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tod Shephard to make the kick off. Neil Rundle scored 0-10 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andre Forbes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rdth minute of the game Aaron Pollard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kauto Stars's Andre Forbes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Pollard in the 65th minute of play forced Kauto Stars's goalkeeper Andre Forbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Alfredo Fini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Workington AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12. Andre Forbes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-16. Andre Forbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Pollard in the 94th minute of play. Workington AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
