Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 100) Workington AFC's Alfredo Fini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastien Bridge stood somewhat misplaced when Aaron Pollard came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 9 minute. Sebastien Bridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Pollard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Workington AFC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Workington AFC's Aaron Pollard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jacob Bancroft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Welling FC got a freekick which was hit by Steve Addison. Workington AFC's Jo Kingston got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Workington AFC's Alfredo Fini got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Fini in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastien Bridge, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 32 minutes into the match, Welling FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Pollard came free, but Sebastien Bridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes, Bryan Vaughan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Welling FC and the Workington AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Welling FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Vaughan to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Welling FC defense, Alfredo Fini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastien Bridge. The Welling FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastien Bridge should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Pollard in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastien Bridge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Welling FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Pollard came free, but Sebastien Bridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastien Bridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Pollard in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Junior Prince made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Alfredo Fini sped through Welling FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastien Bridge. Sebastien Bridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Pollard in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Workington AFC's Aaron Pollard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastien Bridge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Alfredo Fini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Bridge having to interfere. When Workington AFC's Alfredo Fini in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Welling FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fini in the 66th minute of play forced Welling FC's goalkeeper Sebastien Bridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Pollard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aaron Pollard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Workington AFC's Alfredo Fini in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Welling FC's goalie prevented a goal. Welling FC's Jack Nethercot shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sebastian Monkhouse but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Aaron Pollard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastien Bridge was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Sebastien Bridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Pollard's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 90th match minute, Welling FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Addison to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Welling FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Fini came free, but Sebastien Bridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Alfredo Fini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastien Bridge was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Workington AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
