Philip Abbotts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brandon Connor having to interfere. Jasper Bedford hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Andre Forbes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Snowdon, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Kauto Stars's Jasper Bedford got a free kick in the 13th minute. Andre Forbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Langford in the 17th minute of play. Edward Stevens lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave The Hungry Toads a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niall Basham, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kauto Stars's Andre Forbes. 1-0. Andre Forbes was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Jeff Armitage capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeff Armitage really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 35 minutes, Tod Shephard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kauto Stars and the The Hungry Toads players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Nathan Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nathan Partridge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andre Forbes came out and tried to block the shot, but Nathan Partridge slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Snowdon was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Olly Scholey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kauto Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Hungry Toads the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Kauto Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olly Scholey to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Jasper Bedford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Nathan Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Forbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Kauto Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tod Shephard to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes in the game Vinnie Allison did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jeff Armitage. After a defensive mix-up in The Hungry Toads's zone, Pedro Fordham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brandon Connor came out of the goal and Pedro Fordham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andre Forbes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Partridge in the 79th minute of the match. Jasper Bedford kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Andre Forbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Partridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Jasper Bedford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kauto Stars's Andre Forbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinnie Allison in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Martin Snowdon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Hungry Toads fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Andre Forbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Snowdon in the 90th minute of play. Andre Forbes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Morcom in the 93rd minute of the match. Andre Forbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Partridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that The Hungry Toads were the better team. The Hungry Toads's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
